St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bengaluru, Online Theology Course starts in July, Register now!

Bengaluru, June 26, 2025: St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bengaluru, has announced the opening of admissions to its St. Peter’s Online Theology (SPOT) courses for the academic year 2025–26. The programmes offered under the initiative are open to laypersons and religious individuals across India and will commence in July 2025. Delivered entirely online, the courses aim to promote mature Christian faith and leadership by offering a structured theological education in a flexible format. 

The courses offered under the initiative include: 

1. Diploma in Theology 

2. Four Certificate Courses in specialised disciplines. 

The diploma programme, spanning two years (July 2025 – February 2027), covers areas such as Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Moral Theology, Canon Law, Liturgy, and Missiology. Classes will be conducted every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The certificate courses offered include:

1. Certificate Course in Biblical Theology and Biblical Spirituality

2. Certificate Course in Canon Law for Religious

3. Certificate Course in Dialogue and Evangelisation

4. Certificate Course in Philosophy

Each of these courses will run for one year, from July 2025 to February 2026. Sessions for these courses will be held every Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The fee for the diploma course is Rs. 6000 for two years, while each certificate course is priced at Rs. 3000 for one year. The courses are open to individuals who have completed +2 or PUC and possess adequate English proficiency to follow the sessions.

The SPOT programme reflects the broader objective of St Peter’s Pontifical Institute to make the pursuit of theology more accessible to people and facilitate a synodal experience of learning.
